Elizabeth Harris

Music Director

Elizabeth Harris is a dedicated Musical Director with a lifelong passion for sharing the joy of music with others. Raised on a council estate in Royal Tunbridge Wells in the 1970s, Elizabeth’s love for music was nurtured by inspiring teachers who introduced her to choir singing and the recorder. From these early experiences, she developed a deep commitment to music education, which she now brings to her students from diverse ages and backgrounds.

Elizabeth is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, skilled in piano, flute, recorder, clarinet, and saxophone. She believes music should be accessible to all who wish to learn, whether as listeners or participants, and has made it her mission to teach and inspire through music. Her work ranges from leading school assemblies, concerts, and choirs; including memorable performances at the O2 Arena with Young Voices; to offering personalised instrumental lessons that encourage students to reach their fullest potential.

Elizabeth’s commitment to her own growth as a musician is evident in her academic achievements. She holds a degree in Theology, Music, and Worship from the London School of Theology, completed in 2020, and earned a Master’s degree in Music from Christchurch, Canterbury, in 2022. She continues to refine her skills and maintain her qualifications with ABRSM certifications across multiple instruments.

Beyond teaching, Elizabeth is an active performer. She plays flute and piccolo with the Bodiam Concert Band and the All Souls Orchestra in London, valuing every opportunity to share music with others.

Elizabeth is married, with three adult children and two grandchildren, and has a beloved Springador named Deefur. She lives by the philosophy that music is a bridge between people, creating moments of joy and unity. For Elizabeth, music truly is for all.
